0.3.9
- Some updates from CVS:
- Fixed konqueror "location:" label bug.
- Checkbox tristate support.
- Progressbar busy indicator support.
- Fix annoying edges around buttons/comboboxes in case KHTML provides
the wrong background color. (maybe only relevant for CVS...)
- Draw the text of focused comboboxes using cg.buttonText() instead
of cg.highlightedText().
- Triangular tab support.
- Fix problem with tickmarks above sliders.
- Changed the color sheme highlight colors.
0.3.8
- Finally, this fixes the window decoration loading problems for
Debian Woody users and maybe others as well!
- Minor text color fixes in the widget style.
[If 0.3.7 worked well for you, you don't need to update.]

This style also stays out of my way, is attractive and more usable than others.

For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!
can someone help me figure out why i can't compile any of the themes from this site? i'm a complete linux newb; i decided from reading to go with Mandrake 9.1 until i learned a little bit more. please help me figure out why it's not letting me run them. also, does anyone have links for good tutorials for compiling sources? ... thanks

You have to install Qt and KDE development ("qt-dev" and "kde-dev" I suppose) packages, they should be in mandrakes package manager.

I'm not sure what is causing this, but I would love to see it fixed as it is my only complaint.
Thanks and great job!

saw. Could it be possible to control
the color of widget borders? In my
opinion, for instance, the color of button
borders is very dim. I don't know if it
is related to the theme itself or to
the application but the size of kcalc's
buttons is very small compared to the
Configure or Help buttons. This does not
happens with other themes. Could it also
be possible to change the appearance of
toolbar separators to something like
that of the alloy theme?

Ok, Sorry. ;)
KDE CVS is the development version of KDE which will be released as KDE 3.2 in a few weeks.
There are some changes which make the panel look a bit better but you will probably have to wait until KDE 3.2 is out.

There is another small annoyance I have, though it seems to be the case with alot of styles, so I'm not sure if it is possible to fix. Since the buttons and lineedits have rounded corners, there is a light-grey pixel at the of the four corners. These become very apparent when viewing an html page with a dark background. Would it be possible to make these 4 corners transparent instead of a fixed light color?

KHTML assumes the text widget to be rectangular and gives it an unfilled box to draw in, rather than letting it draw over the page background.
The style does, in fact, leave the corners as transparent as is possible in KStyle.
If you want to see an even worse example, look at a file upload box.

I'm not yet comfortable with the the window decoration though (still using keramik). It's a bit XPish.

libtool --finish/usr/local/kde/lib/kde3/plugins/styles
libtool --finish /usr/local/kde/lib/kde3
and then changed in "styles" to plastik and in "windows decorations" to plastik. But nothing in Theme Manager.

Plastik and Alloy are now my favourit ones. Just couple of obeservations.
The left most tab seems kind of weird.
IMO the left side should be aligned to what it connects to. Check out other styles like .Net, B3KDE or even HighColor default.
Both Plastik and Allow seem to do it "wrong".
I find the colouring a little weird when compared to some other styles. Maybe lack of contrast, some things seem faded...
It doesn't feel that light.
Maybe it's my impression though.
Anyway I'm just pointing out some not so good stuff. Overall I love it! :)
Keep up the good work!
